News from Easter Term 2019
In January we worked hard at writing and redrafting our stories for the Write a Book Project. We learned about the writing process and even a blurb for our book covers. We did some winter art work “Catching Snowflakes on our Tongue” and winter poems.
In February we composed and typed spring poems on the computer, our typing skills are improving all the time. We made cute thumbprint hearts from clay for Valentine’s Day and enjoyed watching spring blossom in the garden.
In March we learned about a number of the countries which will have displays at International Day including Australia and Poland and did some colouring and fact books about them. We made cool rainbow hats for St Patrick’s Day and enjoyed book activities and dressing up for World Book Day. We really enjoyed a trip to St. Patrick’s Cathedral with Junior and Senior Infants – we found out lots of interesting facts and made lovely stained glass windows.
