Fifth & Sixth Class

October 2017

We are taking part in the Crocus Project, this project reminds us of the 1.5 million Jewish children who were killed in the Holocaust.  We discussed why it is so important to learn from the past so we never repeat these atrocities.

We also made kaleidoscopes in science.  These are great optical illusions!

19th October 2017

5th and 6th class had a day of maths activities as it is Maths Week.  First of all we designed a maths trail for our Infant buddies, Mrs Lyons had told us what kinds of things they learn in their room.  We brought them outside to do the trail which they loved.

We started our own maths trail but we have to finish next week as it started to rain!  We had to count the cars parked in front of the church and fill in a grid with questions about their registration plates, it took much longer than we thought it would!

Then we made Tangram pictures  and Tangram Art.  It was a fun day!
