Welcome to the website of Booterstown National School!

We are a co-educational national school under Church of Ireland Management, and the Patron of the School is the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin. Our school is situated in the grounds of St Philip and St James’ Church on Cross Avenue.

There are four mainstream teachers in Booterstown National School as well as learning support and resource teachers, all of whom are dedicated to enabling the pupils to achieve their potential, and to sow seeds that will encourage them to develop into caring and responsible young men and women.  This team of teachers, along with our School Secretary and Special Needs Assistants are led by our Principal, Rachel Fraser.

Thanks to a fantastic Parent-Teacher Association, we have a wide range of after-school optional activities such as Arts and Crafts, Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Cake Craft and Basketball.

The school is a Green School having been recently awarded its third green flag.  As you drive along Mount Merrion Avenue, you can see our school garden which is a vibrant part of our school and where we grow fruit and vegetables.

Every Friday, we have assembly in St Philip and St James’ Church, and we have all our services there too, such as our Christmas Carol Service, our Start-of-the-Year School Service, and our special events such as our school concerts, graduations, etc. are all held there.

We hope you enjoy reading about our school and seeing the photographs of our work and activities in the picture gallery.

Preset Styles

The Style Settings panel in the Gantry based theme administration interface provides several options for configuring the main built in stylistic aspects of the template.

Style

Gantry also provides the ability for you to create your own custom presets based on any parameter in the theme administrator. You should determine which parameters you wish to configure to be a part of the presets.

Assigning a Style

With Gantry, the ability to assign a certain style to an individual page has never been easier and/or more efficient. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Go to Extensions → Template Manager → rt_hadron → Assignments → *Menu Item*
  • Select your preset from Show Presets, configure and save.

After setting your defaults to the desired values, select the Menu Items button and choose the menu item you wish to modify the parameters for. You will then see a series of checkboxes on the left of all the supported parameters.

Select the checkbox next to the parameter you wish to modify, it will then become active, and you can modify as you wish. Clicking “Save” in the toolbar will then save this configuration.
